Conesus Lake is the western most Finger Lake and is a popular getaway for many people living in Rochester. The lake is small, yet is home to many seasonal cottages and year round homes. This lake freezes each winter and is a popular attraction for fisherman in all seasons. Bass, both largemouth and smallmouth are plentiful. Northern pike, walleye, the perch and bluegills can be large enough for the table.

There are four public access sites to Conesus Lake:

• Conesus Lake Public Boat Launch - on East Lake Road (near MacPherson Point), 4 miles south of Rt.20A. Hard surface launch ramp; parking for 45 cars with trailers. Operated by the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

• Conesus Inlet Wildlife Management Area - off West Lake Rd. (Rt.256), at the south end of the lake. Cartop launch only (no boat ramp); parking for 40 cars. Operated by the DEC.

• Pebble Beach - off Pebble Beach Road, northwest corner of the lake. Cartop and parking for 120 cars. Operated by the DEC.

• Sand Point - off Rt.20A, north end of the lake. Cartop and parking for 45 cars. Operated by the Town of Livonia and the DEC.
