The most quaint town or village in the Finger Lakes

The Finger Lakes region of New York is fortunate to have many quaint little towns and villages. They are great sources for antiquing, fine dining, wine tasting and just getting that small town feel of days gone by. This week the local innkeepers voice their opinions on "the most quaint town or village in the Finger Lakes."

Clifton Springs - is a pretty little village with covered sidewalks. It also has Warfields, a VERY good Restaurant. ~ Glenda Nash - Gentle Giants Bed and Breakfast

Canandaigua - The town has many quaint and unique gift shoppes, clothing shops, furniture stores, bakeries and lots of little restaurants intermingled.  The main part of the town is divided by a grassy strip in the middle of the road that has some of the pretttiest flowers I have seen around the Finger Lakes.  They are changed seasonally.  All of the store fronts have gorgeous colorful hanging baskets full of annuals in the summer time, and there are old fashioned sidewalk sales from time to time complete with hot dog, cotton candy and ice cream vendors amidst turn of the century houses. ~ Terry - Keuka Overlook Bed and Breakfast

Lodi - Quiet and small. Not the regal splendor of some of the bigger Finger Lakes towns, but the simple town on an old train, steamboat, and horse route. A few old antique stores, an old hotel, and an icecream stand make it quaint. A cute lakeside park, and 6 award winning wineries make it delightful. ~ Steve and Kathy Wirt - Wine Country Cabins B&B

Hammondsport - the old Mallory Mill, the town square with gazebo, the view, antique shops, eateries, New England-style churches. ~ Cristina & Fernando - The Farr Inn
